What makes Tigreal dangerous?
Tigreal wants several players close enough that one engage starts the whole fight. A team can deny much of that value without a special pick: stop stacking in the same entrance, check the approach, and decide who is saving the response.
Strengths to respect
- Area control can group several enemies for follow-up damage.
- Flicker changes the distance and angle of his initiation.
- Sacred Hammer threatens displacement around a committed fight.
Openings to exploit
- A spread formation lowers the value of one large set.
- A held team response can disrupt the planned follow-up.
- An engage without nearby damage dealers may achieve very little.
How to counter Tigreal during a match
Entering the river
Approach from separated, watched angles. Avoid putting the carry, mage and roamer into the same narrow entrance merely because it is the shortest route.
Before the engage
Track whether Flicker has been used and who is holding the defensive response. Keep enough distance that one unexpected movement cannot catch the entire team.
After the first control
Protect the caught players without handing over a second group. Look at the enemy damage dealers before counter-engaging; the set is only half of the threat.
Defensive items: buy for the actual threat
No item alone fixes a five-player catch. Choose defence for the enemy damage dealers who follow Tigreal, rather than buying armour solely because the initiator is a tank.
Common mistakes against Tigreal
- Stacking in a choke point with no information.
- Using the team’s only cleanse before the real engage.
- Treating the initiator as the only source of danger and ignoring his follow-up.
