Diggie MLBB Guide: Your Ultimate Has Been Cancelled (Season 42)
Diggie is the draft veto with feathers: a ~54% win rate on a 0.2% pick rate, an ultimate that deletes the enemy's best engage after it lands — and an egg that keeps scouting after he dies.
The Lord pit, minute fourteen, and their Atlas finally gets the one he has been saving all game: Fatal Links lands on four of us, my Lesley dead centre of the chain, their combo already mid-animation. I don't dodge it. I let it land — then press Time Journey. The chains come off, a shield wraps the team, three seconds of Control Immunity open up, and Lesley walks out shooting while Atlas stands there with his ult on cooldown and his entire draft answered by an owl.
That's Diggie. Welcome in. He's the Timekeeper, Eruditio's scholar owl, master of the "Time Nest" who frees his friends from time's shackles (Fandom's story). The trackers have him winning ~53.6–53.9% on a 0.2% pick rate — the rarest pick in this support queue. He isn't a hero you main. He's a hero you serve on the enemy draft, like a court order.
Why he's feared (and loved)
Fear first: Time Journey doesn't dodge your engage — it lets the engage land and then deletes its consequences. A team-wide cleanse, a 650–880-point shield and three seconds of Control Immunity. MLBBHub's hard-cancel list is the setter census: Fatal Links, Implosion, Bloody Hunt, Ring of Order, Khufra's Bouncing Ball chain, Aurora's freeze combo.
Love second: death is a scouting trip. Young Again turns his corpse into an untargetable egg that keeps moving, keeps watching, and keeps tapping enemies for true damage that cancels recalls — the pros once built a whole strategy on it (the feeder Diggie, FAQ below). Everyone else's death timer is a loading screen. His is a second shift.
Season 42 viability: the honest read
Paperwork first — this is where guides lie to you.
Patch 2.2.16 (released 16 September 2026): Diggie is not on the adjustment list — Masha and Bruno revamps plus 21 adjustments — and blooing's complete roundup, read end to end including both Brawl columns, mentions him zero times. Patch 2.2.16a (14 Oct 2026): the documented list (Kalea buff; Aulus, Hirara, Eudora, Rafaela nerfs) has no Diggie, and with no Fandom page for the sub-patch, any "secret Diggie tweak" stays [UNCONFIRMED]. His last documented touch is the 2.1.88 adjustment in Season 41 (VCGamers' recap: Adjust; MLBBDex: attributes and skill costs revised). Moonton leaves the veto alone.
The trackers, dated (community snapshots, not Moonton figures): - MLBBHub (refreshed daily, checked 21 Oct 2026): 53.6% WR, 0.2% pick, 3.1% ban, Easy. - MLBBDex (tier list updated 20 Oct 2026): S tier in Roam — 53.9% WR, 3.3% ban — captioned a "fragile metric" for its tiny sample. - EliteDias (updated 15 Oct 2026): A tier, 53.6% WR. Pocket Gamer (17 Oct 2026): S among Supports. - MLCounter.com: 56.63% / S+ — page updated May 2026, pre-Season 42: a fossil headline; matchup table only.
The chorus: 53.6–53.9% — elite numbers on a book-club sample, and that gap *is* the hero: his win rate only measures games where somebody drafted him on purpose. Sentiment: no fresh r/MobileLegendsGame Diggie threads surfaced this season (two searches) — labelled tracker/creator material: MLBBHub's thesis is the two-ult test — *"can you name at least two enemy ultimates that Time Journey hard-cancels? If yes, lock Diggie."* My tier verdict: A+. S (Dex, Pocket Gamer) vs A (EliteDias) are both right about different drafts: into two hard-cancelled ultimates he's the best roam in the lobby; blind, he's a shield on a 76-second cooldown with no peel. The A+ is the average of a veto and a passenger.
The full kit: what every button does
All mechanics from the MLBB Fandom hero page, checked 21 October 2026. Base HP 2468→4183, mana 500→1900, MS 250, range 4.5. Everything deals magic damage except the egg taps (true damage). - Passive — Young Again: On death he rewinds into egg form for his death timer: untargetable, provides vision, +75 Movement Speed, item unique passives switched off — and a fresh skill set: Disdain, Egg Dance and Victory Prayer, taps of 5 True Damage (up to 6, 10 and 12 hits, 5s cooldowns) that interrupt regeneration and cancel recalls. Egg hits still earn Dangerous Sparks. He revives where the egg stands. Fine print (Fandom): ~2s to regain control after death or revival, vulnerable 1s after reviving, enemies can see the timer (blooing). - Skill 1 — Auto Alarm Bomb: Flings an owl alarm that waits 25 seconds, then chases the first enemy in range and explodes on contact: 500–600 (+100% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage, 30% slow, max 5 alarms out at once. Dangerous Sparks: each hero hit earns 2 stacks (cap 60), each adding +1% bomb damage; death halves the stack. Thrown directly onto a unit, it detonates instantly (Fandom). Cooldown 8.0→5.0s; mana 70–120. (mlbb.tools still prints the old 350 base; Fandom governs.) - Skill 2 — Reverse Time: Marks an enemy hero for 4 seconds, then pulls them back to where they stood when marked: 150–400 (+100% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and an 80% slow. Leaving the circle triggers the pull early, and the mark doesn't break on Flicker (blooing). Cooldown 15.0→10.0s; mana 90. - Ultimate — Time Journey: Removes all debuffs from nearby allies including himself — the cleanse strips even suppression already applied, which is why Franco's Bloody Hunt dies to it — and grants a 650–880 (+300% Total Magic Power) shield plus Control Immunity for 3 seconds (the immunity itself excludes suppression, per Fandom — a *second* suppression inside the window still lands). Diggie gains +50% Movement Speed for 0.5s; castable while he's CC'd (blooing). Cooldown 76/70/64; mana 130–170. Everything you do buys this button back.
Skill priority, my way: ultimate whenever offered, Auto Alarm Bomb first (damage, slow and stacks all scale), Reverse Time last.
Combos
- "The Landmine Homecoming" (the catch): Reverse Time on the overextender → immediately throw Auto Alarm Bombs at the spot where he was standing when marked (blooing's core combo). The pull delivers him onto the mines: bomb damage, 30% slow, then the 80% pull slow — a diver returned to sender.
- "The Cancel" (the teamfight): Hold Time Journey until the enemy CC has *landed* — chains on, carries caught — then cast it with Revitalize stacked inside the window. Cleanse, shield, immunity and a healing zone while their combo still animates.
- "The Annoying Ghost" (egg form): Dead near an objective is a posting, not a punishment: roll the egg to the pit's edge for vision, tap Disdain on anyone channeling a recall, keep stacking Sparks — then park the egg where your revive lands back inside Time Journey range of your carries (blooing).
Rotation and map control
Level 1 (MLBBHub's script): take Auto Alarm Bomb and fling it into the river bush or enemy jungle entrance *as you leave base* — vision and a slow on the jungler's path before the first wave meets. Stack Sparks on heroes, not minions. Babysit gold until level 2–3, then roam; from level 4 your address is wherever your carry is (blooing).
Objective craft: pre-seed the pit — four to five owls around the Lord or Turtle before a contest (MLBBHub), so walk-ins eat chases and slows. Positioning law: inside Time Journey radius of your primary carry, never in front of them. And track the enemy's ult cooldowns, not yours (MLBBHub): Fatal Links just burned means you can play up; Atlas holding it means you glue yourself to the carry and wait.
The spike: Fleeting Time + Dominance Ice, ~10–12 minutes (MLBBHub). He spikes on *frequency*, not power: Fleeting Time's takedown refunds drag the 76-second ult toward castable-twice-in-a-fight, and Lifebane taxes the shields and regen of everyone near your bubble.
Best build, emblem, and battle spell (Season 42)
Battle spell: Revitalize — MLBBHub's FAQ pick and blooing's standard: the healing zone stacks inside the immunity window and procs Flask of the Oasis on top of the shield. Flicker is the swap when a teammate already runs Revitalize, or a dive comp deletes you pre-cast (blooing).
The locked slots (both sources agree): Flask of the Oasis → Fleeting Time → Dominance Ice → Oracle (shield amplification stacked on Flask). Boots split by lobby: Demon Boots (MLBBHub's body build — mana to keep five alarms fed) vs Tough Boots (blooing, Encourage blessing) into CC-heavy drafts. Flex, by lobby: - Immortality — the default sixth (both sources): a second death phase, and both phases can stack Sparks (MLBBHub). - Athena's Shield — vs two-plus magic burst (blooing). Antique Cuirass — vs repeated physical dive. Winter Crown — vs the lobby that kills you before the ult (MLBBHub: the slot most roam Diggies skip, then die for skipping). - The trap: Clock of Destiny / Holy Crystal "damage" builds (MLBBHub). His damage is the Sparks multiplier on repeat bomb hits, not stat sticks.
Emblem: Support — with a slot-2 footnote. Agility / Pull Yourself Together / Focusing Mark (MLBBHub FAQ); blooing runs Rupture in slot 2. Focusing Mark is agreed by both: constant skill hits keep the 6% team damage amp painted on somebody. Roam blessing: Encourage (blooing); Favor if your team plays grouped.
How to counter him
Two tracker families, one verdict: his whole game is one button and one circle — bait the button, split the circle. MLBBHub's measured counters (FAQ): Chip, Zhask and Esmeralda. MLCounter.com's matchup table (small samples, older page — direction, not gospel): Diggie wins just 41% vs Fredrinn (279 games), 44% vs Chip, 45% vs Esmeralda, 48% vs Franco, 49% vs Aldous. The schools: shield theft — Esmeralda converts his ult's shield into her own HP pool (MLCounter); silence — Helcurt's global Dark Night Falls and Natalia's silence stop the cast entirely (blooing calls Helcurt the most critical counter); theft — Valentina copies Time Journey with I Am You and vetoes your veto (1v9); raw burst — no dash, no escape (MLCounter): Aldous and the assassins delete the owl pre-button.
Items (MLCounter): Athena's Shield blunts his all-magic kit; slows — Corrosion Scythe, Ice Queen Wand, Thunder Belt — pin a 250-speed owl; Purify erases Reverse Time's mark. Play patterns: (1) Bait the Journey, then fight its winter: a poke engage that draws it buys ~76 seconds of a support with no ult (MLCounter). (2) Fight on two fronts — the ult is a circle around Diggie; a split fight leaves half your team outside it. (3) Camp the egg, don't chase it: his timer is public — be standing there when he revives, vulnerable in the first second (Fandom); chasing the egg across the map is the troll working as intended (MLCounter). (4) Kill or separate Diggie first (MLCounter): alone, he's a mine-layer with nobody to protect.
And who Diggie counters — verified from his side: MLBBHub's hard-cancel list checks out mechanically, and the numbers back it — this series' Akai guide measured Akai winning just 44% into Diggie (MLCounter), Heavy Spin's pins dying to the cleanse. MLCounter adds the divers he refunds: Saber 59%, Hayabusa 58%, Fanny 56% for Diggie. Franco is the honest nuance: 48% raw (895 games) — the hook can remove the owl himself before the fight. The veto is real. It is not free.
Mistakes everyone makes
MLBBHub's Diggie autopsy list — all five still true at 53.6%: - "The Pre-Flinch": Casting Time Journey on the engage *animation* instead of the landing. The window expires as the pull hits. The ult is reactive — let Atlas finish, then press R. It feels slow. It is correct. - "Shielding Esmeralda": Ulting your own Esmeralda. Her passive converts received shields into her own pool — your teamfight button, donated to a stat she was building anyway (MLBBHub: don't draft the pair at all). - "The Corner Egg": Parking the egg in a corner to wait out death. Egg skills deal true damage, cancel recalls and keep stacking Sparks — a cornered egg wastes the only death in the game that still has a job. - "Owls in the Open": Bombs in the open river instead of bushes. An open owl only chases; a bush owl is vision *and* a chase. - "The Blind Lock": Picking him when you can't name two enemy ultimates he cancels. Into Gusion, Lancelot and Natalia — nothing worth cleansing — the ultimate is an expensive shield and Estes was the pick (MLBBHub).
FAQ
- Can Time Journey really strip Franco's suppression? Yes — the on-cast cleanse removes debuffs *already applied*, suppression included; MLBBHub lists Bloody Hunt among the ultimates it hard-cancels. (The immunity that follows excludes suppression — kit section above — so a second one inside the window still lands.)
- Why a ~54% win rate but a 0.2% pick rate? Counterpick maths. MLBBDex's caption is the scouting report: "solid win rate but very little played, so a fragile metric." The number only samples lobbies where someone saw Atlas plus Tigreal and reached for the owl.
- Is feeder Diggie still a thing? As heritage. MPL Philippines Season 6, 2020: Aura PH's Rafflesia debuted it against Execration, went 0/21/14, won and took MVP (ONE Esports) — egg as walking ward, Disdain cancelling recalls, death as a rotation tool. The modern version keeps the egg work and drops the 21 deaths.
- Revitalize or Flicker? Revitalize by default (MLBBHub, blooing) — it stacks inside the ult window and feeds Flask. Flicker when Revitalize is taken or dive kills you pre-cast.
- Is he hard to play? Easy (MLBBHub). Moonton's ratings (via MLCounter): Durability 4, Offense 4, Control 2. The buttons are nothing; the discipline — losing the 76-second staring contest on purpose until their ult lands first — is everything.
Final verdict
Diggie in Season 42 is an A+ spreadsheet wrapped around a veto: a ~54% win rate sampled almost entirely from drafts he was picked to ruin. No heal, no engage, damage as a side-hustle. He stands next to your carry holding the delete key for the enemy's game plan — and when they finally kill him for it, he keeps working as an egg.
Play him if: the enemy draft shows two or more hard-CC ultimates (Atlas, Tigreal, Franco, Kaja, Khufra), your carry is a stationary turret (Karrie, Lesley, Wanwan, Claude — MLBBHub's fits), and your team groups instead of splitting.
Skip him if: the enemy comp is dive and damage with nothing to cleanse (Gusion, Lancelot, Natalia), Helcurt or Valentina is across the draft, or your own Esmeralda expects that shield to be hers. Diggie doesn't win fights. He cancels the enemy's best one and invoices them 76 seconds for the privilege.
