What makes Fanny dangerous?
Fanny crosses walls and reaches a fight much faster than most heroes can follow. Chasing the cable trail usually leaves your carry alone. A more useful response is to make her entry dangerous and have damage ready when control lands.
Strengths to respect
- Cable mobility creates entry angles across terrain.
- Skill hits on marked heroes help sustain her energy.
- She can punish isolated, low-health targets and leave quickly.
Openings to exploit
- Her route has to bring her close enough to deal damage.
- Control with immediate follow-up can punish that commitment.
- A roaming chase can waste your time; guarding the target is often more useful.
How to counter Fanny during a match
Early rotations
Call her last visible position and move through watched routes. Contest jungle resources as a group with a retreat path, rather than sending one squishy hero to investigate.
Setting the trap
Keep your control hero close enough to respond to the carry. Agree who uses the first stop so the entire team does not overlap every disable.
After she commits
Use the catch and follow-up as one play. If she escapes, protect the remaining low-health allies and take a safe objective instead of racing her across walls.
Defensive items: buy for the actual threat
Antique Cuirass
Consider physical defence when her skill damage is the main threat; preserve enough utility or damage to do your own job.
A defensive option for heroes who can afford it; it does not prevent crowd control or magic damage.

Common mistakes against Fanny
- Using every control skill before Fanny has entered.
- Pursuing her through the jungle while your carry has no cover.
- Treating a counter pick as a guaranteed kill without follow-up.
