Guinevere MLBB Guide: One Jump, No Survivors (Season 42)

Ms. Violet deletes you in one jump: three marks, a leap, and a four-second juggle you can't leave. The full kit, the Flicker combo, and the Purify tax that ends her.

Why she's feared (and loved)

River bush, minute six, and their mid laner never checks it because checking it is what I punish. I have been sitting in that grass for twenty seconds doing nothing, which on Guinevere is called loading. Energy Wave clips her as she crosses — mark one. Then I jump. Spatial Migration lands on her head, she goes airborne, and Violet Requiem turns the next two seconds into a washing machine she cannot leave: eleven hits, re-launched every time she starts to fall, control-immune me in the middle like weather. Fandom credits her chain as one of the game's longest — three and a half to four seconds. She had a flash. It did not matter.

That is Guinevere, Ms. Violet of House Baroque — Lancelot's little sister, per Fandom's story. She is feared because her whole kit is one loaded shell: marks, a leap, and an ultimate that only pays full price on targets already in the air — and she brings her own air. She is loved because the sequence feels like a fighting-game combo in a MOBA, and no EXP laner turns a bush into a coffin quite so politely. The catch: her leap is her only exit, her ultimate a committed two-second stand, and one Purify on the enemy team taxes the entire performance. Guinevere doesn't win extended fights. She schedules one very short one.

Season 42 viability: the honest read

Patch paperwork first. Patch 2.2.16 (16 Sep 2026) gave Guinevere no ranked change — absent from the verified adjustment list, and blooing's complete 2.2.16 roundup mentions her exactly once: in the Brawl mode "toned down" column, a mode modifier, not a ranked adjustment. The documented 2.2.16a list (14 Oct 2026: Kalea buff; Aulus, Hirara, Eudora, Rafaela nerfs) has no Guinevere either — contrary claims are [UNCONFIRMED]. Her last documented change (Fandom patch history) is Patch 1.9.99, a BUFF: sustainability and damage consistency up, passive magic scaling and Skill 1's slow trimmed in exchange.

The trackers, dated (community snapshots, not Moonton data): - MLBBHub (refreshed daily, checked 21 Oct 2026): 51.2% win rate, 0.8% pick, 2.2% ban. - MLBB.io (data updated 20 Oct 2026): A tier, dropped from S — 51.2% win rate, 0.8% pick; builds run Flicker in 78% and the Mage emblem in 5 of 9. - mlcounters.app (stats updated 20 Oct 2026): 51.28% win rate, 0.82% pick, 2.09% ban, #59 of 133; counters Diggie, Khufra, Masha; lists Julian among the heroes she beats. - MLCounter.com (page updated 17 Sep 2026): a 57.79% headline with an S badge no current desk supports — stale; its matchup table is used below, not its average. Pocket Gamer (Oct 2026) files her S among Fighters — the friendly editorial outlier.

Chorus: 51.2–51.3% win rate, ~0.82% pick, ~2.1% ban. Sentiment: no fresh r/MobileLegendsGame Guinevere threads surfaced — tracker/creator material only: MLBBHub calls her a one-shell cannon whose draft lives or dies on Purify.

My tier verdict: A-. A-tier paperwork on the current data desks and a combo that deletes most of a health bar through one of the longest CC chains in the game. The minus is the tax code: she is the rare hero whose worst counter is a battle spell, and Purify, Diggie and Wanwan are common enough that she is a planned pick, never a blind one.

The full kit: what every button does

All mechanics from the MLBB Fandom hero page, checked 21 October 2026. Base HP 2350→5318, Physical Attack 126→255, Movement Speed 260, basic attack range 1.8 — and no mana row in her stat table at all: her only resource is the Super Magic charge. Moonton's ratings: Offense 6, Durability 4, Control Effects 8, Difficulty 4. - Passive — Super Magic: two engines in one. Guinevere deals 25% extra damage to airborne enemies, and her basics deal Magic Damage — (+80% Total Physical Attack) (+60% Total Magic Power) — triggering attack effects and Magic Lifesteal. Dealing damage builds Super Magic (34 per basic or per Energy Wave / Spatial Migration hit, 10 per ult tick); at full charge her next basic becomes guided (range 4), dealing 80 (+100% Total Physical Attack) (+90% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and restoring 80 (+8% of her Lost HP) HP. The marks glue it together: enemies hit by her enhanced basic, Energy Wave or Spatial Migration are marked for 5 seconds, and a target carrying 3 marks is knocked airborne when Violet Requiem touches them. - Skill 1 — Energy Wave: an orb in a line: 300–525 (+125% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to the first enemy hit and a 25% slow for 1.2s; a successful hit reduces all her skill cooldowns by 1 second. Flat 4.0s cooldown, range 6.35. Poke, mark #1 and refund engine in one button. - Skill 2 — Spatial Migration: the leap. She jumps to the target location for 250–400 (+80% Total Magic Power); enemy heroes and creeps caught are knocked airborne for 1 second and take an extra 125–200 (+50% Total Magic Power). Within 5 seconds she can recast: a blink in the target direction, invisible for 0.5s, leaving an illusion behind — if it takes damage it refunds Super Magic and explodes after 1.5s for 100 (+30% Total Magic Power). Cooldown 17.0→14.0s, range 5.3. Fine print (Fandom): Immobilize and Stun can't stop the leap once cast, but a mid-jump airborne (Fredrinn, Edith) can eat the recast. - Ultimate — Violet Requiem: a force field around her for 2 seconds, striking nearby enemies 11 times for 880–1320 (+385% Total Magic Power) in total. Enemies already airborne are knocked airborne again, up to 8 additional times — the juggle is the damage. She is immune to crowd control while casting (Suppression still applies). Cooldown 52/46/40s, radius 4.15. Note what is NOT here: no separate airborne damage multiplier on the ult — the +25% lives in her passive; the ult's airborne clause is the re-launch. - Skill priority, my way: Violet Requiem at 4/8/12. Energy Wave maxed first — the poke, the mark and the refund all scale there. Spatial Migration second. First point is the one real argument: MLBBHub takes Spatial Migration at level 1 (wave clear plus a mark); Energy Wave first is the safer school. I take the thump.

Combos

  • The classic deletion (the one everyone knows): Energy Wave (mark 1) → Spatial Migration onto them (mark 2 + airborne) → Violet Requiem while they are still in the air → enhanced basic as they land. The order is the skill: ult a grounded target and they walk out; ult an airborne one and the +25% and the re-launches execute.
  • The Flicker extension (MLBBHub's signature): Spatial Migration → Flicker mid-thump animation → Violet Requiem. Flicker fires during the jump, dragging her into ult range while the airborne is already locked in; Fandom notes the same trick stretches the leap. Flicker is notation, not preference.
  • The mark ult (no jump required): three marks banked → walk in and press Violet Requiem: the 3-mark target is knocked airborne by the ult itself and juggled from there. For when Spatial Migration is down.
  • The exit, always: the ult ends → recast Spatial Migration backward immediately (MLBBHub: every time). The blink cancels the recovery; the illusion stays as a parting explosion.

Rotation and map control

EXP lane is home — every current desk files her there (MLBB.io, MLBBHub, mlcounters.app agree); jungle is a heritage flex, not a current school. Her lane is boring on purpose (MLBBHub): the first four minutes are about arriving at level 4 with full HP and marks ready, not a level-2 solo kill. Take the thump, clear, poke only into laners who must walk into the orb, and never recast the leap toward the enemy.

At level 4 she becomes a roaming problem (HEROISME, via DuniaGames): a Guinevere sitting in lane at level 4 wastes the pick — crash the wave, disappear off the minimap, be the bush the enemy mid did not check. Her spike lands around minutes 8–10 with Concentrated Energy + Lightning Truncheon (MLBBHub): before it she is a CC bot; after it the rotation kills. In fights she is a second-wave hero: let the first enemy lockdown whiff, jump the already-committed target, and never open into a Khufra, Chou or Minsitthar holding their interrupt (MLBBHub).

Best build, emblem, and battle spell (Season 42)

The core: Arcane Boots → Concentrated Energy → Lightning Truncheon. MLBBHub locks these three and names the spike: Truncheon's Resonate procs across her multi-instance rotation, and Concentrated Energy's hybrid lifesteal pays back a slice of all eleven ult ticks. MLBBHub's FAQ names a different trio — Concentrated Energy, Starlium Scythe and Holy Crystal — as her strongest core. Both agree on Concentrated Energy first, Holy Crystal as the power slot; slot two forks: Truncheon (cooldown) or Scythe (basic school). Flex after: Glowing Wand vs magic-defense stacks and sustain, Divine Glaive vs real magic defense, Blood Wings to close, Winter Crown when a Khufra or Saber keeps interrupting the engage. The named trap is the calculator build: pure magic power with no cooldown reduction leaves zero follow-up between rotations (MLBBHub). Emblem: Mage. MLBBHub's row: Rupture / Weapon Master / Lethal Ignition — Lethal Ignition fires off her three-instance combo almost immediately. MLBB.io's tracked builds run Mage in 5 of 9 (tracked talents: Thrill / Master Assassin / Temporal Reign). No current desk leads with Fighter. Battle spell: Flicker, near-locked — MLBBHub calls it non-negotiable (the S2-Flicker-Ult sequence exists because of it), and 78% of MLBB.io's tracked builds run it. Execute is the legacy school; no current source leads with it, and it costs the combo extension. Sprint is named a trap outright.

How to counter her

Measured edges first — MLBBHub's counter page (updated 19 Oct 2026): Wanwan +2.8 win-rate points, Diggie +2.7, Joy +2.5, then Khufra, Argus, Miya. MLBB.io and mlcounters.app name the same podium (Diggie, Wanwan/Khufra, Masha). - Purify is the tax. One battle spell deletes her performance: MLCounter's spell answer is Purify, "for ignoring airborne effects by skill 2 or ultimate". Diggie's Time Journey does the same job for a whole team — MLBBHub calls Diggie and Wanwan "draft-level kills, not lane-level inconveniences". - Wanwan is structural. Her Skill 2 cleanses CC as her weak points open — her combo opens them for her (MLBBHub). MLCounter: Guinevere wins 48% into Wanwan (234 games). - Interrupt the jump. Minsitthar's zone disables Spatial Migration entirely (MLCounter: Guinevere wins 42% into him, 125 games); Khufra and Chou cancel the thump mid-animation (MLBBHub). Once her skills are spent she is, per MLCounter, "extremely weak". - Buy the shield. Athena's Shield is MLCounter's named item answer, Radiant Armor and Winter Crown behind it. Who she eats is the mirror: heroes who must stand still or channel. mlcounters.app lists Estes, Karrie and Julian as her prey — Julian's skill rhythm has no answer to being launched mid-chain — and MLCounter adds Lunox 56% (123 games), Badang 55% (125). MLBBHub's pick-into list adds Phoveus, Esmeralda, Thamuz, Argus, Yu Zhong and every channel mage.

Mistakes everyone makes

  • "The Forward Blink": reactivating Spatial Migration *toward* the enemy carry to extend the dive (MLBBHub's #1 Guinevere mistake). The recast is the exit. Spend it forward and you are behind their team with both skills down.
  • "The Grounded Ult": pressing Violet Requiem on targets standing on the floor — no marks, no airborne — and watching them stroll out after three ticks. The ult is a juggle machine, not a damage circle: launch first, ult second (HEROISME).
  • "The Cooldown Ult": burning Violet Requiem on cooldown, on a 1v1 skirmish at minute eight (MLBBHub). Its cooldown spans the window between a Lord fight and the reset — spent on a skirmish, it misses the fight that decides the game.
  • "The Purify Blindfold": locking her into Diggie, Wanwan or a double-Purify draft because the sheet said A tier. MLBBHub's rule: if either cleanse hero is locked, ask for a counter-pick before the draft closes.
  • "The Glass Calculator": stacking raw magic power, skipping cooldown reduction, and having no second rotation when the first ult doesn't finish (MLBBHub). CDR is the difference between a second shell and a long walk back.

FAQ

  • Did Patch 2.2.16 change Guinevere? No ranked change — absent from the verified adjustment list; blooing's full roundup mentions her only in the Brawl "toned down" column, a mode rule. The 2.2.16a list has no Guinevere either; contrary claims are [UNCONFIRMED]. Last documented change: Patch 1.9.99's buff.
  • Why does her ultimate sometimes do nothing? Because Violet Requiem's damage is a juggle: grounded targets eat a few of the eleven ticks and walk out. The +25% airborne bonus lives in her passive; the ult re-launches airborne enemies up to 8 extra times — launch first, then ult.
  • Flicker or Execute? Flicker — current sourcing isn't close: MLBBHub calls it non-negotiable because the S2-Flicker-Ult extension is core notation, and 78% of MLBB.io's tracked builds run it. Execute is the older lane school.
  • EXP lane or jungle? EXP, per every current desk (MLBBHub, MLBB.io, mlcounters.app). Jungle is a heritage pick the Season 42 data doesn't revive.
  • What actually stops her? Purify on the target, Diggie's Time Journey, Wanwan's self-cleanse, Minsitthar's Grounding zone (no leap at all), and any interrupt held for the thump. Punish her during the cooldowns — the leap is 17s at rank 1.

Final verdict

Guinevere in Season 42 is an A-tier cannon with a B-tier margin for error. The desks land at 51.2% because the average Guinevere game includes the drafts she should never have survived — the Diggie lobbies, the double-Purify backlines, the jumps spent as poke. Strip those away and she is one of the cleanest deletion tools in EXP: three marks, one leap, four seconds of sponsored airtime, and a channeling mage who never finished her sentence. She is not a fighter who happens to burst — she is an ambush wearing a fighter's health bar, and Season 42 still rewards the ambush, as long as you check the draft for cleanses first.

Play her if: the enemy backline has no Purify and no Diggie, your team brings a second piece of CC her ultimate can chain into, and you enjoy a hero whose whole game is patience — bushes, minimap discipline, one perfect twenty seconds.

Skip her if: the enemy shows Diggie, Wanwan or layered Purify; your roam can't follow up the ult; or you'll spend the leap to poke and the ult on cooldown. Guinevere with no shell loaded is just a lady in a bush, hoping.
