Silvanna MLBB Guide: Pick Her for the Cage (Season 42)

A 51.4% win rate on the princess who traps one hero in a circle and duels them to death. Silvanna, honestly: the restraint rules, the two-item spike, and the Purify drafts that bench her.

Why she's feared (and loved)

Minute thirteen, river fight, and the enemy Ling has been weather all game — everywhere, untouchable, gone before anyone's stun lands. Then he steps one stride too far for a finishing dash, and I leap. Not at him — at the ground behind him. The Circle of Light opens, he's the hero closest to the centre, and for 3.5 seconds the best escape artist in the game is just a man in a ring with me: dashes dead, Flicker dead, while I spin at double attack speed and drink lifesteal off every hit.

That is Silvanna, the Imperial Knightess — the Moniyan princess who left the throne room for the Imperial Knights after her little brother vanished, and came back from the Imperial Sanctuary carrying the Lord of Light's power (Fandom's story). Feared, because Imperial Justice is the crowd control built to tell mobility to sit down: the enemy hero closest to her landing point is Restrained — cannot leave the circle — while she duels them at +100% attack speed and +40% lifesteal. Loved, because she's a fighter whose entire damage kit is magic, whose marks shred both defenses at once, and who schedules her duels instead of finding them. The catch is in the same skill text: the circle restrains ONE hero. Cage the wrong body — or the right one with no follow-up — and she's a princess in a glowing ring, alone, being watched.

Season 42 viability: the honest read

Patch paperwork first. Patch 2.2.16 (16 September 2026) did not touch Silvanna — confirmed two ways: absent from the verified adjustment list (Masha/Bruno revamps + 22 adjustments), and blooing's complete 2.2.16 roundup, read end to end, never mentions her — buffs, nerfs, tweaks, Classic, Brawl. Patch 2.2.16a (14 Oct 2026): the documented list (Kalea buff; Aulus, Hirara, Eudora, Rafaela nerfs) has no Silvanna — any claimed tweak stays [UNCONFIRMED], as does the Advanced Server 2.2.26 stat pass listing her name (gamingonphone) — test server only. Her last documented live change is the Patch 1.8.66 buff (Fandom Patch Notes 1.8.66): the Cometic Lance one-stage-dash revamp, plus Spiral Strangling's shield raise and near-halved cooldown.

The trackers, dated (community snapshots, not Moonton figures): - MLBBHub (all ranks, last 7 days; checked 21 Oct 2026): A tier — 51.4% win rate, 1.02% pick, 1.8% ban; EXP Lane, rated Easy. - MLCounters (stats updated 20 Oct 2026): 51.50% win rate, 1.05% pick, 1.92% ban, #47 overall.

The chorus: 51.4–51.5% win rate on a 1% pick rate — the most-played hero left in the Fighter queue. Sentiment: no fresh r/MobileLegendsGame Silvanna threads surfaced — tracker/creator material only; MLBBHub's thesis stands: "pick her for the cage, not the lane." A reaction pick, not a comfort blind.

My tier verdict: A-. The A paperwork is real on both live desks; the minus is the draft window — displacement, cleanses and no follow-up turn the cage into theatre.

The full kit: what every button does

All mechanics from the MLBB Fandom hero page, checked 21 October 2026. Base HP 2650→5618, Mana 500→1900, Physical Attack 126→255, Physical Defense 22→85, Magic Defense 15→50, Attack Speed 1.14→1.56, Movement Speed 255, basic attack range 1.8; all her damage is Magic Damage — remember that in the counter section. - Passive — Knightess' Resolve: Her basic attacks deal 25 (+45% Total Physical Attack) (+75% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. Her attacks apply a mark on enemy heroes for 5 seconds; each mark reduces the target's Physical & Magic Defense by 3–6 (scaling with her level), up to 5 stacks — a fully marked hero at level 15 has lost 30 points of both defenses. She deals 30% extra damage to enemy heroes carrying the max marks — the kit rewards staying on one target. - Skill 1 — Cometic Lance: She dashes forward (a blink; crosses obstacles); on reaching max range or hitting a non-minion enemy, she swings her lance for 250–400 (+100% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to nearby enemies and stuns them for 1 second. Cooldown 11.0→9.0s, mana 70–110. One stage since the 1.8.66 revamp — the old thrust-then-recast version is gone. Engage, chase and exit in one button. - Skill 2 — Spiral Strangling: She thrusts her lance and spins it 6 times, gaining a 350–500 (+150% Total Magic Power) shield. Each spin deals 165–255 (+45% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and slightly pulls targets toward the centre. It counts as a basic attack (no crits), deals 50% damage to minions, and its cooldown (5.5→4.5s, mana 35–60) starts when the spin ends. Extra spins come with attack speed — Fandom's note flags the in-game tooltip as misstating the math (total AS above 100%, 55% per spin); +3 extra spins is the realistic ceiling. - Ultimate — Imperial Justice: She leaps to the target location and creates a Circle of Light on landing: 350–650 (+110% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and a 40% slow for 1.5s to enemies in the area, and the enemy hero closest to the centre is Restrained for 3.5 seconds — Restrain (Fandom): that hero cannot leave the area; dashes and blinks don't work. The cast cannot be interrupted. While she stands in her own circle she gains +100% extra Attack Speed and +40% extra Lifesteal. Cooldown 52/48/44s, mana 130–150. Fine print: the circle restrains one hero, not the whole team — everyone else can walk out, or walk in and help.

Skill priority, my way: Spiral Strangling at level 1 (MLBBHub), Imperial Justice at 4/8/12, then Cometic Lance maxed first (MLBB.io's maths: +30 base damage per rank vs Spiral Strangling's +18), Spiral Strangling second.

Combos

  • "The Cage Match" (the signature): threaten on foot first → Imperial Justice on the exit path, slightly behind the carry, so the hero nearest the centre is the runner, not the bodyguard (MLBBHub) → Spiral Strangling inside the circle, its pull holding them centred while marks stack → basics at doubled attack speed to cash the +30% max-mark damage → Cometic Lance stun as the restraint ends, or to leave if the collapse comes instead.
  • "The Marked Man": don't leap cold. Trade in lane first — spins and basics stack Resolve to 5 and strip up to 30 hybrid defense — *then* ult, with Genius Wand's shred compounding underneath (MLBBHub). A cage on a marked carry is a kill; on an unmarked one, a negotiation.

Rotation and map control

EXP Lane is home — every desk files her there; levels feed her marks (MLBBHub). Jungle is a situational answer: lock it when your team needs hard catch from the core slot (MLBBHub), with Ice Retribution helping the Lance and spin connect (ONE Esports).

The lane rule is angle, not volume. Spiral Strangling deals half damage to minions, so a pure-clear spin is a bad trade — stand off-centre, clip the laner with the spin's edge, shove only when the cast also taxes their HP (MLBBHub). Hard-spinning every wave makes you late to the river, and the first Turtle is her appointment: arrive healthy, a level up, spell unspent, ready to cage their jungler or mid on entry (MLBBHub). She's farming one forced fight.

The mid game runs on one checkpoint: Genius Wand + Concentrated Energy, around minutes 8–10 (MLBBHub). Before the pair she threatens; after it, one clean cage kills. Her job becomes target selection at objectives: circle on the exit path, delete one hero, play the 5v4. Late, wait for a peel button to disappear (Valir's knockback spent, Akai's spin down, Franco's hook on cooldown) before diving (MLBBHub).

Best build, emblem, and battle spell (Season 42)

The locked spine (MLBBHub): Tough Boots → Genius Wand → Concentrated Energy. Genius Wand shreds magic defense on every damage tick — she deals damage in ticks — so a spin's back half hits a target its front half softened, stacking with her passive's shred. Concentrated Energy's Recharge stacks across her repeated hits and pays out inside the same fight, plus real HP to survive it. Third slot: Glowing Wand (MLBBHub's FAQ core three) into HP-stackers, regen comps and shield drafts. Boots fork: Arcane Boots vs light-CC lanes when the first cage needs penetration to finish; Warrior Boots into basic-attack-heavy EXP matchups (MLBBHub). Flex (MLBBHub): Divine Glaive vs Athena's Shield or stacked magic defense; Brute Force Breastplate for long fights; Oracle for long trades (+25% received shield/regen fattens her S2 shield); Winter Crown when diving one carry — press it after the spin starts; Frozen never interrupts a running skill; Immortality as the first-entry closer over a sixth damage item. The attack-speed fork is real: MLBB.io's sample runs Feather of Heaven in most builds — attack speed becomes extra spins and faster marks — with Holy Crystal as the late capstone. Pen-first is the desk consensus; the Feather school is a live alternative. Emblem: Mage — Rupture / Bargain Hunter / Lethal Ignition (MLBBHub; Codashop and MLBB.io's 4-of-5 builds agree). Bargain Hunter pulls the spike earlier; Lethal Ignition procs off her spin. Battle spell — a genuine split: Flicker is MLBBHub's FAQ answer and Codashop's pick — it repositions the leap and is her only true emergency exit. Vengeance is the other school: MLBBHub's laning text builds around it and ONE Esports makes it the EXP pick — press it *after* the cage lands; damage reduction plus reflect wins the duel inside. Retribution is jungle-only.

How to counter her

Two desks agree on the headline names: Barats and Khufra sit on both top-threes (MLBBHub: Khufra, Barats, Lapu-Lapu; MLCounters: Barats, Karina, Khufra). She is countered by bodies that refuse to lose her duel, and drafts that unpick the catch. - Out-duel her inside the circle. Barats and Khufra are too fat to burst in 3.5 seconds and out-swing her after; Lapu-Lapu, Benedetta, Edith and Yu Zhong hold measured EXP edges (MLBBHub); Karina deletes her mid-commit (MLCounters). - Cleanse and immunity. Purify is the classic answer — ONE Esports is blunt: without one on the target, she has full control of the circle — and MLBBHub benches her into double-Purify drafts. Diggie's Time Journey immunity stops the catch landing (VCGamers). - Move her, not yourself. Valir's knockback pushes her out of her own circle, Akai's Heavy Spin throws her off the duel, Ruby drags the fight onto the wrong body (MLBBHub). Suppression — Franco, Kaja — punishes the dive pre-cash-in (MLBBHub). - Items: magic defense — all her damage is magic — Athena's Shield, Radiant Armor, Tough Boots (MLCounters). Winter Crown declines the burst window. - Play patterns: the restrained hero is whoever stands closest to her landing centre — don't be that hero; everyone else walks out and lets her duel air. Bait the leap, fight her on the 52s rank-1 cooldown, out-rotate her mediocre waveclear. Who she counters is the mirror image: heroes whose escape button *is* the hero. MLBBHub's pick conditions name the mobile backline — Ling, Fanny, Pharsa, Clint — and ONE Esports files her as a Lancelot counter because the ult holds him through Phantom Execution and Puncture. Measured best matchups: Aamon, Valentina, Floryn (MLBBHub); Sun, Floryn, Angela (MLCounters) — Floryn on both desks.

Mistakes everyone makes

  • "The Tank Cage": Ulting the first body in vision — usually the tank. If killing him changes nothing about the next five seconds, you spent a 52-second cooldown for noise (MLBBHub). The cage has one name on it: the carry's.
  • "The Early Lance": Throwing Cometic Lance before the target spends its mobility or Purify. You've spent your stick tool and your escape in the same press (MLBBHub). Walk first, threaten the ult, force the answer — then lance.
  • "The Wave Spin": Hard-spinning every wave like it's a clear button. At 50% minion damage it clears slowly anyway — and you arrive late to river fights, her strongest early window (MLBBHub).
  • "The Glass Princess": Six damage items on a hero whose job is first entry. One pen item and one sustain item already make the cage lethal; games turn on whether she survives the counterturn (MLBBHub).
  • "The Blind Lock-In": Picking her into displacement and double Purify because last game felt amazing. MLBBHub's bench list: Valir, Akai, Franco, Kaja, Ruby, stacked cleanses. Two visible means pick a real frontliner instead.

FAQ

  • Can I dash or Flicker out of Imperial Justice? If you're the restrained hero, no — Restrain bars leaving the area for 3.5 seconds and mobility skills don't override it (Fandom); Lancelot's Phantom Execution and Puncture fail identically (ONE Esports). Everyone else in the circle is *not* restrained — only the hero nearest the centre — so walk out.
  • Does Purify answer her? It's the classic counter-draft answer (ONE Esports); MLBBHub benches her into double-Purify drafts. Cleanse breaks the catch-and-stun chain pre-duel; Diggie's Time Journey does it for a whole team.
  • Why does Spiral Strangling sometimes spin more than six times? Extra spins scale with attack speed. Fandom flags the tooltip as misstating the formula (total AS above 100%); realistic ceiling ~+3 spins without AS-cap tricks.
  • EXP lane or jungle? EXP, on every current desk. Jungle is a situational answer when the team needs hard catch from the core slot (MLBBHub), run with Ice Retribution (ONE Esports).
  • What did Patch 2.2.16 change for Silvanna? Nothing — verified-list absence plus blooing read end to end. Last documented change: Patch 1.8.66's buff (the one-stage Lance dash) (Fandom). Any claimed 2.2.16a tweak is [UNCONFIRMED].

Final verdict

Silvanna in Season 42 is a warrant with a name on it: 51.4–51.5% win rates on both live desks, an A tier from MLBBHub — and all of it conditional. Into one identifiable mobile carry, with follow-up behind her and a cleanse-light enemy draft, she is the cleanest deletion in the EXP lane: one leap, one restrained hero, one private duel. Into displacement, Purify and no follow-up, she's a melee mage holding a 52-second dream. The trackers can't price that variance, so the draft has to.

Play her if: the enemy win condition is one mobile carry you can name before the loading screen, your mid or roam brings instant follow-up, the enemy draft is light on displacement and cleanses, and you'll play her as a reaction pick, not a blind lock.

Skip her if: two or more of Valir, Akai, Ruby, Franco or Kaja are showing, the enemy runs double Purify, or your team needs its EXP laner to be a frontline wall rather than an assassin with a lance. Take Badang and bring your own walls instead. Silvanna doesn't start fights. She *ends one specific person's*.
